Learn MapR system administrator concepts and practices including planning, installation and configuration, load balancing and tuning as well as diagnosing and solving problems in your initial deployment. Learn how to eliminate downtime and performance bottlenecks, setup your Hadoop cluster with direct access NFS™, and enable point-in-time recovery with MapR snapshots. Respond to MapR users by diagnosing, configuring, and solving real world problems in your deployment. At the end of this course, you will have the option to take the MapR Certified Administrator (MCA) exam to verify and certify your expertise.

Java Developers with basic Hadoop knowledge will be helpful but is not mandatory. Prior experience with HBase or MapR not required.
Learn how to write HBase programs on MapR’s M7 distributed NoSQL datastore. This course introduces MapR & HBase architecture, the HBase data model, and the most important APIs for writing programs. The course also introduces schema design, performance tuning, bulk-loading of data, and storing complex data structures. Hands-on lab exercises give students practice writing HBase programs and running them on a MapR M7 cluster.
Intermediate to advance.
